On Thursday, November 4th, Decatur High School's National Honor Society took to the stage and welcomed this year's new members. The NHS officers Lydia Matthews, Edwin Pascual, Mary Pistorius, Mary-Peyton Propst, and Darison Fite welcomed all who attended. Family members and friends of the current members and new inductees gathered in the DHS auditorium at 7 PM to celebrate their achievements. Decatur High School principal Mrs. Russell and other assistant principals of DHS were also present to welcome family members and congratulate the new inductees .
The DHS National Honor Society requires students to have a 92 overall average or above and demonstrate the four pillars on and off campus; those pillars are scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This year, a total of 68 students, juniors and seniors, were inducted.
Congratulations to our new members!
